The Nexus 80mm Real Silent Case Fan is the ultimate solution to bring some extra airflow in your quiet computer. The Nexus 80mm Real Silent case fan is equipped with a double sided 4-pin power connector and a 3-pin motherboard connector. This allows you to connect the case fan directly to the power supply or to the motherboard.

The latest version of the Nexus Real Silent case fan comes in black and white and inside the package a set of 4 ultra-soft silicone Fan Mounts are supplied.

 

	The Nexus Real Silent 80MM Case fan has a fan speed of 1500 RPM (+/-10%). The fan speed is fixed at 1500 RPM at 12V.
	The airflow of the fan is 20.2 CFM (34.34m3/hour). Note that for good and efficient cooling the static pressure is also an important value. Be assured that the Nexus fan has very high static pressure so work very effectively.
	The Nexus 80mm Real Silent case fan produces only 17.6 dB(A)* measured in a chamber with 17 dB(A) background noise. We have compared this case fan with the quietest case fans available and we simply cannot find another one this quiet!

Noise testing

When we test the noise level of our case fans we do this in an anechoic test chamber under free air condition. The chamber used for testing this fan background noise is 17.0 dB(A). Reading is done using a Spectrum Analyzer.

The below set-up is used and these are the most common conditions for these type of tests and hence you should always be aware when a manufacturer is claiming dB(A) values that are lower then 15 dB(A). Because how where they able to measure this? We provide the real figures, from the actual tests. Can it get any more reliable…? Judge for your self.

	Nexus provides the exact details of our noise level test as we feel dB(A) values are difficult values to compare as there are many ways of testing and calculating. In the market there are a lot of unrealistic dB(A) value-claims which are often calculated by means of extrapolation. This in fact does not give a realist view of the fans noiselevel performance.
