Security Fan Backup (SFB™) technology
 
What is it and how does it work?
SFB™ controls fan speeds dependent on temperatures. SFB™ controls the fan speeds of both the power supply fan and up to 2 case fans which are directly connected to the PSU.
 
Sensor 1
The flexible temperature sensor 1 can be mounted inside the computer case and should be located in free air to measure the inside computer case temperature.
 
Sensor 2
Temperature sensor 2 is fixed and measures the temperature inside the PSU.
 
In idle mode and at light pc usage temperatures in both the PSU and the computer case remain low and do not require much airflow. In this situation the case fans connected to the SFB™ power supply and the fan inside the power supply will not run and no noise is produced!
 
If temperatures increase when the system is more heavily used the fans will start rotating slowly (PSU fan and case fans independently). Higher temperatures results in higher fan speeds. At critical temperatures all fans will go into full speed mode and a buzzer alarm will sound for safety reasons.
